About us

The Canine Performance Association of Tasmania was formed in 2015 to promote and encourage interest in the breeding, training, upkeep and general wellbeing of dogs in the community by providing ANKC canine disciplines which foster the conservation of the heritage breeds.

It has an emphasis on promoting sports which encourage dogs to demonstrate traits their breeds were developed for & those which enhance the relationship between dogs and handlers.

These include Herding, Tricks, Earthdog Trials & Tests and many more. The club has conducted Endurance Tests & several health (BAER TESTING, DNA COLLECTION), Bale Hunt and Canine Disc Dog clinics.

We supported Tasmania’s first Fly Ball competition by entering a team.

Our aim is to embrace new sports and foster the development of them, by training judges and other personnel.

Notices of upcoming events including training days, demos and trials will be posted on our Facebook Group
